PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The International Foundation Programme in Humanities & Social Scienceshas been developed in collaboration with our Schools of Arts & Humanities, Social Science & Public Policy and Law. It is a full-time one year programme for international students who have completed twelve years of schooling with excellent grades. It prepares you for undergraduate degree programmes at King's and other top UK universities and combines study in your chosen academic subject with academic English and study skills.
By the end of the programme, you will be familiar with UK academic culture, have improved your overall language and academic skills levels and have a more detailed understanding of your chosen academic discipline. You will also be ready to start your undergraduate degree and be fully settled into university life.
This programme has an excellent reputation in the UK and is accepted by King’s and UK universities as evidence that you have reached the required entry levels for undergraduate study. Many of our students go onto King’s for their undergraduate degree as we guarantee conditional offers for undergraduate degrees in Arts & Humanities, Law and Social Science subjects such as Business Management, International Politics and Geography. Students who do not meet their offer requirements or who wish to stay at King’s can progress onto undergraduate degrees at other UK universities and we offer extensive UCAS support to all students.
This programme will:
- provide you with a clear route into King's undergraduate programmes and the undergraduate programmes of other top UK universities
- provide you with a specially-designed course related to the academic field in which you intend to study
- provide you with a range of academic study skills to enable you to succeed in your undergraduate study
- improve your overall English proficiency
- introduce you to the UK educational system and its academic culture.

Students are also supported through their studies with specially developed online learning materials.
STRUCTURE OF PROGRAMMES & ASSESSMENT
