King’s has connections with some of the world’s best universities in destinations as exotic as the Caribbean, and studying abroad for a year was the best part of my degree. I split the year between France and Portugal, and found myself not only studying but working and volunteering in both languages. The funding I was given to go abroad stretched to allow me to travel throughout the countries and I spent a great deal of time studying on the beach instead of in a library!
I have been involved in three societies throughout my time at university, allowing me to play sport, practise my Portuguese and volunteer with St John Ambulance. My time at King’s has been varied, challenging and great fun, and I know the opportunities I took advantage of here will continue to benefit me long after graduation.
