Philosophy BA

Studying philosophy as an undergraduate at King’s has been an incredibly rewarding experience, not only in terms of broadening my academic horizons but also in providing me with opportunities to develop my love of music and a whole range of interests which lie outside of philosophy.

On my course I have been able to meet many like-minded people, both students and professors alike who have expanded my grasp of the subject and have inspired me to achieve my professional goals of becoming a teacher.

So far I have started a rock and roll band with the friends who I met in first year and we have started playing open mic nights in Camden. As well as this I have started to learn Japanese which I hope will open up opportunities for teaching English in Japan, as well as helping me to connect with a culture I love. I’ve also become a student ambassador which, as well as providing part time work, has enabled me to represent my university and share with others the experience I have had here.

Studying a subject that I love in central London has been a life changing experience and I know that King’s will be an institution that continues to help me achieve my future goals, be it in academia, the hobbies that I enjoy and my professional career after I graduate.
