Working with Greek & Latin Literary Texts: An Introduction
Beginning Greek language or Intermediate Greek Language, depending on your language experience
Beginning Latin language or Intermediate Latin Language, depending on your language experience

YEAR 2

Second year students take at least half their modules in Latin and Greek language or modules with a close reading of texts, such as:

Greek Language
Latin Language
Introduction to Latin Prose Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Apuleius's Metamorphoses, Cicero's Pro Archia Poeta)
Introduction to Latin Verse Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Virgil's Georgics, Ovid's Heroides)
Introduction to Greek Prose Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Lucien, Herodotus' History)
Introduction to Greek Verse Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound, selections from the tragedies of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides)

And can choose from a from a range of optional modules, which may include options such as:

All final year students take at least half their modules in Latin and Greek language, including an unseen translation and modules with a close reading of texts:

Latin Poetry Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Horace's Odes)
Latin Verse Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Juvenal's Satires)
Greek Drama Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Euripides' Bacchae)
Greek Poetry Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Homer's Illiad and Odyssey)
Greek Prose Texts (Various texts from year to year, past texts have included Plato's Phaedrus)
