Currently, students study the following core modules. If there are options available the current choices are also shown. King's reviews its optional modules on a regular basis, in order to continue to offer innovative and exciting programmes and this list is therefore subject to change. • Modern Greek Language

You should take at least three modules from the options listed and a maximum of 30 credits of further optional modules.

Typical options include:

• The novels of Nikos Kazantzakis
• Modernity & the nation in Greek fiction since 1922
• Language varieties & sociolinguistics
• Greek Society & Politics, 1922-1950
• Constantinople: Imperial Capital - Medieval Metropolis
• The Byzantine Empire, 600-1453

Usually spent abroad in Greece or Cyprus.
