Trophos was founded to discover and develop new drugs to treat orphan neurodegenerative diseases. Its lead compound, olesoxime (TRO19622) has completed all preclinical and phase 1 prerequisites to support initiating a phase 2/3 trial in any indication and is currently in a European pivotal phase 3 efficacy study in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
 
Trophos, the company at the origin of this discovery, aims to establish this compound as the first of a new class of therapeutic agents that will bring significant therapeutic benefit to patients suffering from devastating neurological diseases.
