extreme physiology
Physiology is the study of how the body works. This embraces the study of whole animals and their responses to extremes of environment, the working of individual organs such as the brain and the heart, and includes the processes that take place in single cells and the molecules that they contain.

Physiology is not a single subject, it has many areas of specialisation.  The different areas of study and research that have developed from fundamental physiological studies are analogous to the branches and twigs that grow from the trunk of a tree which is growing and expanding as new and exciting discoveries are made in each area.

Our Physiology BSc. students at King's continue in research, other biomedically related fields or in the pharmaceutical industry after graduation, or use their degree as a good scientific background in a variety of careers.
