Professor Raman Bedi, Director of the Global Child Dental Health Taskforce (GCDHT), has been awarded the honorary chair of Extraordinary Professor in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa for a three year period.

Staff and students from the Dental Institute volunteered to be stewards at a free 10K sponsored walk in London’s Hyde Park on Sunday 14 October to raise awareness for Mouth Cancer.

The Department of Oral Medicine has been redesignated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Oral Cancer and Pre-cancer for a further four year period from June 2007.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between King's and The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Petuan of Brunei Darussalam, along with an agreement between the College's Dental Institute at King's College Hospital Trust and the Brunean Ministry of Health.
