Dental Institute featured on Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies

A patient being treated by Dr Michael Escudier, a Lecturer/Consultant in the Oral Medicine Department has been featured on the popular TV series, Embarrassing Bodies. The programme was aired on Wednesday 22 April on Channel 4.

The male patient was referred to Dr Escudier by his general medical practioner because of his persistently swollen lips. He was seen on the combined Oral Medicine and Gastroenterology Clinic in the Dental Institute where there is also input from a dietician and an immunologist. Dr Escudier and the team undertook a variety of investigations and diagnosed oro-facial granulomatosis before commencing a specific diet as the initial treatment
