Visiting Chair appointment at Oman Dental College

Dr Avijit Banerjee Dr Avijit Banerjee, Head of Pre-clinical Conservative Dentistry at the Dental Institute, has been appointed to a Visiting Chair in Restorative Dentistry at Oman Dental College, Muscat, Oman, for an ongoing period.
 
The purpose of the role is to lead and develop the undergraduate teaching curriculum in Conservative Dentistry, in the first instance, in this recently established dental school.
Dr Banerjee, who is also an external examiner at Oman Dental College and part-time faculty member, commented: ‘This is a hugely exciting opportunity to help in the instigation and development of modern teaching concepts, strategies and dental curricula in a part of the world where dental education is now being taken seriously.
 
‘I am honoured and humbled to be in the privileged position of an "ambassador" to promote King’s College London and the Dental Institute, and to encourage and nurture overseas undergraduate and graduate clinical and research collaboration in the not-too-distant future.’
 
In addition, Professor Nairn Wilson, Dean and Head of King’s College London Dental Institute, is the Chair of the Oman Dental College International Advisory Panel.
