Deputy Vice-Principal honoured
Professor Nairn Wilson CBE, Dean and Head of the Dental Institute and Deputy Vice-Principal (Health), has been awarded an honorary degree from the University of Portsmouth. The presentation of the award took place at the university's graduation ceremony on 15 July.Professor Wilson received an honorary Doctorate of Science. This follows the innovative partnership between the University of Portsmouth and King's, with a new £9 million Dental Academy opening in this autumn. Two other leading figures have also been honoured by the university. TV and radio personality Sandi Toksvig received an honorary Doctorate of Letters in recognition of her work and Bronwin Carter, disability sports coach at Portsmouth City Council, received an honorary Doctorate of Laws recognising her work with school pupils.
