Kenji Kakudo, Professor and Chairman of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Director of Osaka Dental University Hospital, recently visited the Dental Institute.He brought with him an invitation from the President of the University and Dean of the Dental School to form closer links, sign a Memorandum of Understanding and an invitation for Professor Nairn Wilson, Dean and Head of the Dental Institute, to visit Osaka to take part in the Centenary Celebrations of the School on 11 November 2011 where a public signing of an agreement would take place.
There has been several exchange visits of staff between Osaka Dental University Hospital and the Dental Institute involving Professor Tim Watson, Professor Mark McGurk and a PhD student.
Professor Kakudo was visiting London to be awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery by election at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
