The combination of evidence-based dentistry, learning sophisticated clinical care in specialist subjects and the development of an understanding of research methodology lies at the core of all of our programmes.
 
The latest research technology and facilities are used to encourage the collaboration between clinical and non-clinical scientists with multidisciplinary skills.
 
Major research areas include:

  • dental caries and periodontal diseases;
  • biomaterials;
  • oral microflora;
  • craniofacial biology and mucosal biology;

  • health services research.
