Research
King’s is the academic partner for all three of the National Institutes for Health Research Centres based in the three partner NHS Trusts – the only university in the UK to partner with one of each type of centre.
In 2006-7, King’s received more new funding from the Medical Research Council (MRC) than any other UK university. In 2007-8, we received more new MRC awards for health sciences research than any other university in the country.
The RAE 2008 confirmed King’s position as one of the top universities for the impact of its health sciences research.
