Centre for Integrative Biomedicine
The Centre for Integrative Biomedicine was established as a result of a major capacity building grant, aimed at addressing the skills shortage in mammalian biology research. The Centre provides new and extended in vivo training and education to a new generation of researchers in integrative pharmacology, physiology & related sciences. The aim of the training and education programmes is to allow study of whole animal function in normal and pathophysiological situations relevant to treating human and animal diseases. Research will include the improved modeling of diseases and translational approaches to developing new drugs for clinical use in humans and animals. The research will aid drug discovery programmes. All in vivo research is carried out within the context of the 3Rs.Please download the research themes from the attached file at the end of this page.
