Creative China: Visual Culture, Architecture and Design

Programme and speakers

The two-day programme featured a range of presentations and panel discussions with leading academics, creative practitioners and arts professionals from China, Europe and the UK (short biographies here). Discussing fine art, photography and film as well as graphic design, fashion, product design, architecture and urban planning, speakers explored themes highlighted in the V&A's China Design Now exhibition, including changing Chinese cultural identities and emerging new practices in art and design.
