Handing in coursework
Please go to the Department Office to hand in coursework - or another room as notified.
- For each piece of coursework you must hand in two hard copies and submit one electronic copy via Blackboard. Both the hardcopies and the electronic copy must be submitted by the deadline.
- Complete a coversheet for both hard copies of your coursework and include the coversheet as page 1 of the electronic submission.
- Put your candidate number on the cover sheets and on each page of your coursework, but NOT your name. To ensure your work is marked anonymously you are issued a new candidate number each year. Your candidate number is available to you on OneSpace.
- Ensure you have included a wordcount
- Check that your coursework includes a bibliography and complete references
- For queries about plagiarism or style guides, please see the advice pages
Submitting via Blackboard
For all coursework, in addition to the two hard copies submitted to the Department Office, an electronic copy must be submitted via Blackboard by the submission deadline.

Examinations
Written examinations are taken during the examination period after the semester in which the teaching for the module ends. There are three examination periods: January, May and August. There are two types of written examination; 'Unseen Exam Papers' and 'Prior Disclosure Exam Papers'.
The Prior Disclosure Exam Papers will be distributed by email to the students in the penultimate week of each semester. You can then prepare your answers to the questions in your own time.On the day of the examination you will not be allowed to bring any books, notes, or other written material into the examination room. A fresh copy of the exam paper will be provided for you in the examination room.
Further Examination information, including the Timetable is provided by the Examination Office.
