Personal Tutors

BA English, BA English with Film and BA American Studies students are assigned to a member of staff who will act as your Personal Tutor for the duration of the degree programme. Personal Tutors are there to help you with any personal or academic problems you may meet, and you should make full use of them. If they are not able to deal in person with a particular difficulty, they will know who to approach. Personal Tutors will post on their office doors two separate office hours each week when they will be available for consultation. The office hours will also be posted on
tutors' profilesonline. Should you have any problems with your Personal Tutor, or you think you need additional advice or help, please contact the Head of Department. It is very important that you have a brief chat with your Personal Tutor at the beginning and end of every semester.

Combined Studies, and Study Abroad students are assigned to a Department Adviser who will be your general academic point of contact.
