Convenors
Each individual module has a Convenor, who is responsible for its overall organisation. You can consult them on any general matters concerning the modules. More detailed queries should be taken up with seminar leaders and/or Personal Tutors, as appropriate.
Module Descriptions

Evaluation of modules and teaching
Towards the end of each semester you will receive a Module
Evaluation Form and a Teaching Evaluation Form, which
you will be asked to complete anonymously.
The Module Evaluation Form asks you to express views
about the particular module as a whole. The Convenor
discusses the responses with the rest of the teaching team
for the module considers any modifications, and writes a
report. This is a vital feature of feedback on the quality of
our work. Your replies will help to shape the structure and
content of modules for future students.
The Teaching Evaluation form asks you to evaluate the
quality of the individual teacher who has led your seminar
etc. It is used as part of an ongoing self-appraisal process
for teaching staff. The forms remain confidential between
teacher and appraiser, usually one of the Professors.
• module evaluation forms are distributed in LECTURES during the penultimate week in each semester.
• teaching evaluation forms are distributed in SEMINARS during the penultimate week in each semester.
One student returns the forms to the department office after the seminar.
