Mitigating Circumstances
If you are unable to sit an examination, missed an assessment deadline, were unable to complete an examination, or felt your performance at an examination or in your assessed coursework was adversely affected due to illness or other good cause you must apply for a Replacement assessment. To do this you must:
- Contact the appropriate Programme Chair (see above)
- Complete a Mitigating Circumstances Form
Computer Failure
Please note that computer failure will not be considered adequate grounds for an extension. When word-processing your work you should be sure to take adequate backups and to print out a copy in good time. If you are printing out your work in College, you should ascertain beforehand that your discs are compatible with the College system and be aware that there will be queues for the computing facilities in the busy pre-examination period. Plan to complete your work well before the deadline.
