Dr Christoph Meyer has commented on Britain's role in the EU which has been published on Germany's leading online publication Speigel-online.
Dr Christoph Meyer argues that Britain has played a much more constructive role in the EU than is generally acknowledged and both Germany as well as other EU members are well advised to look beyond the Eurosceptic rhetoric to appreciate its past and current contribution. He warns against the risk of the Eurocrisis dragging both Germany and Britain into a spiral of escalation that would make it difficult for Europragmatists in the UK to avoid a highly damaging referendum on Britain’s membership.
