Menzies Foundation Fellows
Each year the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies, in association with the Menzies Foundation, would offer a Menzies Foundation Fellowship for work on an Australian subject fitting the Centre's current research interests. The Fellowship was tenable for four to six months at the Menzies Centre and was intended for a tenured scholar on secondment. This scheme is currently suspended.

Dr Rebe Taylor - 2008
Dr Taylor is an ARC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Australian Centre, University of Melbourne. She is preparing a critical database of holdings on Tasmanian Aborigines in private collections in the UK and also researching the 'scientific' study of Tasmanian Aborigines in the colonial period. Dr Stuart Ward - 2007
Dr Ward worked on a documentary volume on Australia and the British entry into the European Economic Community.
Dr Stephen Ashton - 2006
Dr Ashton worked on a documentary volume on Australia and the British withdrawal from East of Suez. He was also an Honorary Senior Research Fellow.
Jacquelyn Keys - 2004-5
As Menzies Foundation Jubilee Fellow, Jacquelyn Keys worked on the 'Southern Cross Resource Finder: Australian and New Zealand collections in the UK and Europe' project. The resulting website holds records describing library collections in Europe: http://www.scrf.org.uk/
DrJohn Williams - 2002
Dr Williams was from the Law School, University of Adelaide. He was researching contemporary legal approaches to Human Rights in Britain and Australia, and finished his book The Australian Constitution: A Documentary History.
Dr Brad West - 2001
Mr West from the Leisure and Tourism Studies Department, University of Newcastle, worked on an edited book Down the road: Exploring backpacker and independent travel.
Dr Mark McKenna - 2000
Dr McKenna worked on his book Looking for Blackfellas' Point: An Australian history of place, and on a project on the history of popular sovereignty in Australia. He also held the Rydon Fellowship.
