Dr Wilfried Meyer-Viol
Wilfried Meyer-Viol received his BA and MA in Philosophy at the University of Groningen and his PhD at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands.At the University of Groningen he also received a BA in Cognitive Psychology and he spent a year as an experimental psycholinguist at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics at Nijmegen.
His main interests are in Mathematical Logic, Formal Semantics, Formal and Computational Linguistics, and philosophy of mind and behaviour. He has worked and published on Temporal Logic, the Modal Logic of Trees, the Epsilon Calculus, Dynamic Syntax, a recent linguistic framework, and Evolution Theory and Behaviour.
His current interests include formalization of tense and aspect, typed record structures as semantics for natural language, and formalizing the causality of animal and human behaviour.
