Through its regular weekly seminar, colloquia, public lectures and international conferences, the Centre for Hellenic Studies is a concentrated force for the advancement of research in all aspects of Hellenic culture.
All its activities are free, open to the public and designed to be accessible to a wide audience.

The 20th anniverary of the Centre and launch of The Making of Modern Greece, Standard Languages and Language Standards – Greek Past and Present, and El Greco – the Cretan Years. Presentation of the Schilizzi scholars, and exhibition of archive material on Hellenic Studies at King’s. Speakers include Professor Dame Averil Cameron, Professor Robert Holland, Professor Geoff Horrocks, Dr Angeliki Lymberopoulou, Dr Victoria Solomonidis.
