The Conference has now SOLD OUT. We have capped numbers because of space restrictions and fire regulations. We therefore regret that we are unable to accept any more registrations at this stage.

Full Conference Registration Fee: £95 (£120 after 1 August)

Student/Concession Conference Registration Fee: £30 (£40 after 1 August)
Champagne / High Tea Conference Reception (Sunday lunchtime): £30

Merchant of Venice - book now!
A unique opportunity to watch a professional company from Taiwan perform scenes from their current production of The Merchant of Venice in the style of bangzi, a regional genre of Chinese opera.
The Taiwan Bangzi Company's Merchant of Venice is one of the highlights of BSA2009 and will be discussed in two plenary sessions, including a question and answer session with internationally renowned critic and director, Rustom Bharucha. The adaptors Ching-Hsi Perng and Fang Chen, the director Po-shen Lu, and the leading actors Hai-ling Wang (as Shylock) an Yang-ling Hsiao (as Portia) will also answer questions from the floor.
Thanks to the generous support of King's College London, the British Council, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, the Council for Cultural Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this demonstration is FREE, but delegates and members of the general public wishing to watch it need to reserve seats by following the link below:

The Merchant of Venice will be staged at the Greenwood Theatre, King's College London, on 11 September 2009, at 8pm, following the conference opening reception at King's - Strand Campus.
