Profile
Ádám is a part-time PhD student at King's College since 2006. In 2000 he completed his undergraduate degree in law at ELTE University, Budapest. In 2002 he completed the King's College postgraduate distance learning course in European Competition Law and in 2003-2004 he studied for his LL.M (Competition Law and Economics) at the Erasmus Universiteit, the Netherlands. He pursues his research at King’s under the supervision of Professors Richard Whish and Margaret Bloom (second supervisor). He successfully completed his transfer to the PhD register in June 2007. Besides his research studies, Ádám is working for the Gazdasági Versenyhivatal (GVH – Hungarian competition authority) since 2000.
Research
Ádám’s research interests lie in the area of strategic airline alliances and their treatment under competition law. His doctoral research focuses on the approach EC Competition Law should take in relation to airline alliances like oneworld, Skyteam or Star Alliance.
