Grigore-Octav Stan

Profile

Octav is an MPhil/PhD student at King’s College London, School of Law. He holds an LL.M. from the University of Vienna (Austria) after writing his dissertation under the supervision of Professor Dr. Christoph Schreuer. Prior to that, he obtained his LL.B. degree from the University of Iasi (Romania) and was a visiting scholar at the University of Porto (Portugal).

Research

Octav’s research interests are in the fields of investment arbitration, international investment law and corporate law. His PhD research focuses on the topic of damages and compensation in investment arbitration and is supervised by Dr. Federico Ortino.

Teaching and Employment Interests

Octav is an attorney at law, member of the Bucharest Bar in Romania. He worked for Gugerbauer & Partners in Vienna (in 2007) and for the Bucharest office of Linklaters LLP (in 2008). Since November 2008, he is a member of the International Corporate practice of DLA Piper Bucharest.
 
Octav is interested in developing his expertise in arbitration and corporate law, as well as in carrying out consultancy work for academic institutions in relation to his fields of interest. He can be contacted at the above email address.
