Ethics of Research on Humans

Ethics of Research on Humans The Centre of Medical Law and Ethics at King's College London runs a series of training events to meet the needs of researchers, practitioners and members of research ethics committees.

Our three-day Introductory & Refresher course on the Ethics of Research on Humans covers ethical tools for reviewing research proposals, the evaluation of research approaches and the regulation of research and the legal issues pertaining to research ethics committees. This course is suitable as an introduction for new members of ethics committees or as a refresher course for more experienced ethics committee members and to researchers engaged in research involving human participants.

The Advanced Study Days examine a specific aspect or area of research on humans, acting as a forum for speaking and learning about particular experiences of research, good practice, dilemmas, and possible solutions.

The Centre of Medical Law and Ethics also runs other courses such as one day special interest days and some customised training courses.

Over the past 15 years, the Ethics of Research on Humans series of courses have been praised for the high standards of teaching, relevance to participants' needs, and for encouraging debate and the sharing of experiences and ideas among participants. On this site you can find out more information about our courses, about forthcoming events and how to apply.
