Division of Medical Education
As one of the largest medical schools in the UK, we have over 2,000 undergraduate students on the MBBS programme. Training is delivered by more than 1,400 teachers based not only in the School of Medicine but also in the School of Biomedical Sciences, the School’s key local partner NHS trusts, 17 associated district general hospitals and 200 general practices across the south of England.
The School’s aim is to ‘train doctors who will aspire to the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care, who achieve professional excellence, have good relationships with patients and colleagues, and observe their profession’s ethical obligations.’ (King's College London, School of Medicine Student and Doctor). The Division of Medical Education promotes this aim at every level within the School.
