5 yr funding - patient safety & service quality research
King’s College Hospital Chief Executive Malcolm Lowe-Lauri has welcomed the news today that King’s College Hospital, in partnership with King's College London (KCL), has received a major funding award from the Department of Health (DOH), for research in patient safety and service quality.
The King’s Patient Safety and Service Quality (PSSQ) Research Centre is funded at £1 million pa for five years from this month, and will be led by Professor Naomi Fulop, Chair of Health and Health Policy at KCL.
It is one of only two nationally designated centres, and was created as part of the fundamental review of NHS Research & Development strategy “Best Research for Best Health”.
