4th International Conference of the Royal Medical Services,

Professor Alison While was the invited guest nurse at the 4th International Conference of the Royal Medical Services of Jordan held 12-15 May in Amman where she ran a workshop for nurses working in the Royal Medical Services and gave a paper later in the week. There were over 3,000 delegates who attended the wide ranging programme. She was looked after by Major Mona Al-Nsour (Shuriquie) who had been her PhD student. The busy week included talking to Major General Dr Abdel-Latif A Woreikat, Director General of RMS and Brigadier General RN Rowyda Salameh, the Director of Nursing of RMS in addition to leaders of the Jordanian Nursing Council. One of the highlights was having coffee with HRH Princess Muna who is mother of the current King, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and a great supporter of nursing in Jordan.
