Advanced nursing practice in China
Conference held in Macau
Professor Alison While joined two other international experts from the USA and the Netherlands recently to contribute to the debate about advanced practice nursing in China.
Professor While delivered a keynote paper at 2nd Nursing Conference on Advanced Practice held in Macau Polytechnic Institute, People's Republic of China. In this she outlined the potential role of nurses in chronic disease management and made the case for the development of nursing within China to contribute to the growing health needs related to chronic disease.
Comprising 340 head nurses from across the country nominated by the Ministry of Health, the Conference was supported by Ms Yanhong Guo, Director of the Nursing Division, Department of Health Administration, Ministry of Health, PR China who also gave a keynote paper and Dr Li Xiuhua, President of the Chinese Nursing Association.
