Nursing student awarded Royal Red Cross

Former student of the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery Major Janet Pilgrim, an army medic in Iraq, has been awarded the Royal Red Cross for her selfless commitment and dedication under fire.

The Royal Red Cross was first awarded to Florence Nightingale herself for devotion to her duties during the Crimean War.
