The Department of Education & Professional Studies holds an education lecture in June each year. Guest speakers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and speak on the subject of education in its broadest sense. In 2009 were delighted to welcome Professor Steve Jones to the department.2009 lecture
Against Educational Illiteracy: Why Creationism is Wrong and Evolution is Right
Steve Jones is Professor of Genetics and Head of the Biology Department at University College London. He has given many lectures and frequently speaks at schools and schools conferences and is UCL’s representative on the recently-established London Regional Science Centre, which aims to provide in-career training to science teachers.
