BA English Language & Communication is for those with an interest in English language and linguistics, including some or all of the following:

• How to describe, analyse and research language
• The study of English as a medium of communication in the contemporary world
• The relationship between language, society and culture
• The teaching and learning of English as a foreign and/or second language
• The use of English and other languages in multicultural communities.

 
The Department of Education & Professional Studies at King’s has an international reputation for language, literacy and applied linguistics. Students learn from experts in their field how English is used in the mass media and global communication industries and in diverse social and professional contexts. Students also consider how languages operate across cultures and how they are taught and learnt.
