2011 Global Health Series/UK Universities Week: Health Action in Humanitarian Crises

As part of Universities Week 2011, King’s Health Partners and King’s College London School of Social Science & Public Policy present the next in an ongoing series of seminars on Global Health, looking at dealing with health issues in acute humanitarian crises, from both institutional and operational perspectives.

Age UK and Institute of Gerontology, King’s College London Annual Lecture: “Fairness in end of life care – quality or quantity or both?”
Speaker: Professor the Baroness Ilora Finlay

The lecture will begin at 18.00 and light refreshments will be available from 17.30.  A wine reception will follow the lecture.

Professor the Baroness Ilora Finlay is a consultant in palliative medicine at the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff and team leader for the chronic pain management programme. She is also a Professor of Palliative Care Medicine at Cardiff University. Baroness Finlay is a Crossbench Peer in the House of Lords and was President of the Royal Society of Medicine from 2006-2008.
