Naked City: The Death and Life of Authentic Urban Places
To celebrate the launch of the new joint MA / MSc in Creative Cities, the Centre for Culture, Media and Creative Industries and the Department of Geography invite you to a lecture by Professor Sharon Zukin (Professor of Sociology at Brooklyn College and the City University Graduate Center)
about her recent book "Naked City: The Death and Life of Authentic Urban Places" (New York: Oxford University Press, 2010).

The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion which will cover both the "Naked City" and the general topic of Creative Cities.

The new MA/MSc Creative Cities is an innovative joint programme between Culture, Media & Creative Industries and Geography that critically examines the ideas, practices and policies of creative cities. The focus is on the intersections of culture and the city, and the economic, social and cultural consequences.
