Work, Interaction & Technology : new publications

Members of the Work, Interaction & Technology research centre published two new books in February 2010.

Christian Heath, Jon Hindmarsh and Paul Luff have authored a text on 'Video in Qualitative Research' (Sage, 2010). The book considers the ethical and practical issues that arise in recording and gathering video data as well as how video enables new and distinctive ways of presenting insights, observations and findings to both academic and practitioner audiences.

Jon Hindmarsh has co-edited a collection with Nick Lllewellyn (Warwick Business School) entitled 'Organisation, Interaction and Practice: Studies in ethnomethodology and conversation analysis' (Cambridge University Press, 2010). This book explores how research in ethnomethodology and conversation analysis can contribute to key issues and debates in Organisation Studies. It includes studies from a range of leading scholars that illustrate the importance of understanding the real-time achievement of organisational processes and practices.
