Professor Heath receives honorary award

Christian Heath The Academy of Social Sciences has conferred the award of 'Academician' on Professor Christian Heath.  New Academicians are nominated by Learned Societies of the Academy as well as existing individual Academicians.  Academicians are distinguished scholars and practitioners from academia as well as the public and private sectors and the title is only conferred on eminent social scientists who have made a significant contribution to UK Social Science and its promotion.

Professor Heath becomes the second member of the department to receive this honour.  Professor Ewan Ferlie was elected Academician in 2008.

Professor Heath is Director of the Work, Interaction and Technology (WIT) research centre as well as Director of the departmental PhD programme.  Further information about his research can be found at http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/sspp/mgmt/people/academic/heath
