Workshop on the Regulation of Medicine, Psychotherapy and Counselling

Drs Gerry McGivern, Michael Fischer and Professor Ewan Ferlie hosted a workshop at King’s College London on 22nd September, where they presented the provisional findings of a GMC/ESRC Public Services Programme-funded project on the regulation of medicine, psychotherapy and counselling.
The workshop was attended by over 20 people, including senior representatives from psychotherapy, counselling and regulatory organisations, as well as practicing professionals, and provided a stimulating forum for discussion. The research team will publish a full report on their findings shortly, incorporating material from the workshop. For further information, contact: gerry.mcgivern@kcl.ac.uk.
