About the speaker
Dr. Tao SUN is the professor of public administration & policy, vice dean of Zhou Enlai School of Government, and Director for Public Management Education Center at Nankai University. His research interests include Chinese Government and Politics, Local Government, and China’s public sector reforms. He studied successively at University of Science & Technology of China, University of Iowa, University of Chicago, and Nankai University. Presently, he is the member on National Public Administration Education Steering Committee, the council member on the Research Society for China Public Sector Reforms. In the early 1990s, he worked in Shenzhen’s real estate sector of Guangdong Province before pursuing his graduate studies in the US. Upon return to China in 1998, he acted as the Deputy Director of Civil Service Training Division at Tianjin Administrative Institute, and lectured courses in the field of economic management and policy. In 2006, he transferred to Zhou Enlai School of Government of Nankai University.
