Koray Kalaycioglu is a visiting researcher at the Department of Political Economy and EUCERS. He is a recipient of a Jean Monnet Scholarship. In Turkey he works as an Energy Expert in the Natural Gas Department of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). His thesis was on the Incentive Benchmarking of Natural Gas Distribution Firms in Turkey. Previous EMRA projects include natural gas distribution tariffs, LNG regasification terminal code and tariffs, underground natural gas storage code and storage tariffs, natural gas network code, monitoring of national LNG market price trends and competition and setting eligible customer limits. The most recent project he has worked on is the Report on National Gas Consumption Forecast of Turkey for the year 2013. During his stay at King’s he works on a comparative study of energy demand forecasts and security of supply in the UK.
