We have an exciting range of modules covering the most important social, ethical and political issues in health and medicine. You will need to take some modules as part of your core curriculum, others are free for you to choose.
Please note that not all modules will run in a given year, and modules may be subject to maximum or minimum caps on numbers. Final decisions about which modules will run will be made each year in October.
*Students enrolled on the Taught Postgraduate programmes in the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine are permitted to take 15 credits at level 6.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information in the module list is correct and up-to-date. Please note that circumstances may arise which could mean certain parts of it are no longer relevant or that the Department is unable to deliver the courses or programmes of study in the manner described, or at all in some cases. The Department will neither be liable for information that after publication becomes inaccurate or irrelevant, nor for changing, suspending or withdrawing a course or programme of study due to circumstances outside of its control. You must also note that places are limited on some courses and/or subject to specific entry requirements. The Department cannot therefore guarantee places on all its courses.
