Roots of violent radicalisation

Professor Peter Neumann gave evidence at the House of Commons' Home Affairs committee's inquiry on the "Roots of Radicalisation" on the 6 December 2011. Professor Neumann joined HJS Research Fellow Hannah Stuart who ddressed everything from the latest statistics on acts of violent extremism in Britain to the Home Office's new Prevent Review and Strategy.

A RUSI report was released today authored by Professor Anatol Lieven, Professor Theo Farrell and Dr Rudra Chaudhuri suggesting the Taliban, led by Mullah Mohammad Omar, are open to a general ceasefire and/or political agreement which could lead to a US military presence in Afghanistan after 2014
