Appointed to develop the Department’s groundbreaking completely online masters degrees War Studies Online has over 250 graduates around the world. A model for best practice in online delivery, War Studies Online graduates study while working in many fields, including NGOS, government service, the law, journalism, international development and risk assessment. A War Studies Online graduate was part of the team from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) that won the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize for “its extensive efforts to eliminate chemical weapons.
Previously, Anne-Lucie’s career was spent in academic and reference publishing in strategic studies, military history, history, and international affairs with Macmillan (now Palgrave), and Jane's Defence Publishing, where she published many of the leading scholars in these fields. In the digital field, Anne-Lucie has created for Microsoft a Chronology of World History. Miss Norton has board-director experience in several companies, including deputy managing director, and responsibility for editorial strategy, brand development, and acquisitions.
