Funding awarded to DSD academics
Academics from the Defence Studies Department have been awarded over $42,000 of funding from the Strategic Studies Institute. The department was successful with all five proposals submitted in response to this year’s solicitation.
Professor Geoff Till was awarded $11,692 for his proposal ‘Dangerous Ground:The Strategic Consequences of a Power Shift from the United States to China’ under the Regional Security Issues (Asia-Pacific) topic
Professor Andy Dorman was awarded $8,344 for his proposal ‘The Future of NATO under the Regional Security Issues (Europe) topic
Dr Harsh Pant was awarded $5,720 for his proposal ‘India Re-Thinks Its ‘Af-Pak’ Policy: Consequences for the US Regional Strategy’ under the Regional Security Issues (Southwest Asia) topic
Dr Katherine Brown was awarded $9,239 for her proposal ‘Counter-Radicalization Measures in Pakistan: the new tool in combating terrorism?’ topic
Mr Bill Park was awarded $7,305 for his proposal ‘Turkey-Kurdish Regional Government relations after the US withdrawal from Iraq’
The Strategic Studies Institute is part of the U.S. Army War College and publishes national security and strategic research and analysis which serve to influence policy debate and bridge the gap between Military and Academia.
