Neuroimaging Acquisition and Analysis (Module)

Module description

Educational Aims of the Module:

The physics and technology behind each of the main neuroimaging modalities is covered as well as their associated day-to-day applications for clinical, research and industry use. The students will learn about the various types of data that are acquired, how to analyse them, and how to interpret the final results in both the clinical and research setting.

Learning Outcomes of the Module:

After completing this module, students will have an in-depth understanding of the detailed workings and analytical issues associated with the main neuroimaging techniques. They will demonstrate an advanced understanding of how the data are acquired and the images are generated. They will know how to choose and use the most relevant analysis packages and how to produce and critique imaging results.
