The decision to obtain a postgraduate degree was a major one. I selected an institution based on excellent track record and getting good value. King's made it to the top of my list after careful consideration and the experience so far has been great.
Upon arriving for registration and induction, I was truly awed by the seamless coordination of activities and the usefulness of each session. The induction covered everything from security around London, to familiarisation tours and library access. The organisers gave practical and useful information that was not limited to academics and from the onset it was clear that King's had a mission to help students make the most of their time whilst bringing out the best in them.
The number of networking events and career fairs that the institution organises is also noteworthy. It is remarkable that King's presents its students with these opportunities at regular intervals and these events help students become more commercially aware of the business world they will ultimately step into.
King's offers a great learning experience. The high admission standards ensure that only the best study (and teach) at King's and this provides a stimulating learning environment. Lectures reveal practical insight into legal issues which is essential for a great post-LLM career. Besides the credit-carrying modules, students also participate in workshops and seminars with great positive impact. Students have access to modern and well maintained facilities and the designated postgraduate study and social areas give an added advantage. The King's learning experience provides qualitative and well rounded education.

Computing, IT Law and Management MSc
I spent around 9 months on the internet searching which university to attend in the UK, but when I saw how interesting the King’s course was and how friendly and helpful the staff were during the application process, I knew that King’s was right for me.
Learning here is a very interactive process. The IT facilities and the libraries are excellent and put learning within easy reach. After I graduate, I hope to stay at King’s to proceed to a PhD. This will be my opportunity to carry on research in a supportive environment. I find the King’s staff dedicated to safe-guarding student welfare and personal tutors offer additional academic and pastoral support.
Studying at King’s is a multi-cultural experience and I have made new friends from around the world. In addition, London is such a vibrant city with so many options of things to do that I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
King’s is well-known for welcoming international students and has many support systems in place to help students adjust comfortably to life in the United Kingdom.
Although King's places high emphasis on studying, there are numerous extracurricular activities that give students a chance to develop other skills and the central location of the university makes it possible to explore the wonderful London scenery.
I believe King’s is the best institution to help me in my chosen career path and would recommend the university to all individuals in pursuit of academic excellence

Conflict Security and Development MA
I found out about King’s College London from the African Leadership Centre and the Conflict Security and Development Group under the War Studies department at King’s. King’s and the African Leadership Centre have a wonderful partnership on peace and security fellowships for African Scholars, a programme that I am currently under. The outstanding thing in this partnership is that KCL is a centre of excellence that is capable of helping students like me attains the pursuit of academic excellence among others. A programme of such credibility needs a credible school to run it and that is why am happy to be a part of this institution. What stands out for me are the school reputation and its environment. I wanted to go to a school where I am clear on the impact that I want to make in the world. I needed a school that will help in the acquisition of the required skills needed. King’s reputation is outstanding enough to guarantee that.
The extra mentoring sessions at the Conflict, Security and Development Group in partnership with the African Leadership Centre is awesome. The values and knowledge needed to make a contribution to my continent is offered to me this way and am happy for it. I am fully involved with all the activities of the African Leadership Centre in partnership with King’s. We are set to do some important trips to the EU offices in Brussels and other institutions in the US and Kenya.
I am under the Carnegie Foundation Scholarship under the African leadership Centre and King’s College London partnership. This has helped tremendously in my academic pursuit. I plan to go back to my continent and impact or transfer knowledge by taking up a teaching or research position at a university. The opportunity given by African Leadership Centre to study at King’s will go a long way in assisting me to make an impact in my profession. I also will continue to be involved in other consulting projects in women, gender, sexuality and peace and security.
I love London and am happy to be back! My favourite thing to do in London is to meet up with friends to sight see and go dancing! I love to visit the cinema and I am looking forward to ice skating this year. I believe in the strength in diversity and the huge diverse cultures in Nigeria had already prepared me for easy adaption outside Nigeria. I also have Nigerian friends and other African friends in London. I can get Nigerian food easily. London is a very diverse place in itself and I love to meet people from all over the world!
King’s College is a school with an incredible, reliable ranking and reputation. You will get the best of everything and you will be glad you chose KCL!

Linda
Computing & Security MSc
My choice of studying at postgraduate level at King’s was informed by the fact it is a renowned institution in the area of research in all fields, particularly the physical sciences. There is an emphasis on quantitative and analytical skills offered in my programmme of study and this is exhibited in all the course modules.
Attending the computer science colloquia series, which was part of a requirement for a course module and also being actively involved in organising extra tutorial classes, for another course module, were very illuminating experiences.
The environment is exceptional in terms of both learning and social facilities, especially the study spaces, in particular the areas set aside specifically for postgraduate students. The College’s central location in London affords and boasts many benefits such as discounts, not enjoyed by students studying elsewhere, coupled with the lively social atmosphere offered at all King’s campuses, it makes for an overall memorable experience.
