Overseas qualifications and entry requirements
We accept a broad range of qualifications from around the world and King’s warmly welcomes applications from Norway. Please read below for further information about entry requirements and how to apply.
Undergraduate
The Vitnemal-videregaende opplaering (with Generellstudiekompetanse) is acceptable for most programmes at King’s. Grades required vary from programme to programme, from a score of 5 to 5.5, with possible subject preferences. For exact grade requirements for your desired degree programme, please go the online prospectus and visit the academic entry requirements section.

All undergraduate applications must be made through UCAS. The recommended deadline for applicants is 15 January of each year.

Postgraduate
You will be considered for entry onto a postgraduate taught programme if you have taken a bachelor's degree that is recognised as equivalent to a UK Bachelor (Honours) degree from a recognised university and achieved good grades. Further information on academic entry requirements is listed on the online prospectus under the programme of your choice.
For postgraduate research programmes at King’s you are typically required to be studying for or have completed a master's degree from a recognised university and in a directly related subject in order to be eligible for entry although this is not always necessary. In addition, it is highly recommended that all prospective graduate research students contact the relevant supervisor in order to discuss the research proposal and supervision.

English language requirements
King's accepts a number of different English language tests for entry onto our programmes of study with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject. For a full list please refer to the undergraduate and graduate tables. Our British Council accredited English Language Centre also offers a range of pre-sessional, foundation and pre-master’s programmes should you need to improve your English in advance of your degree.

Undergraduate
King’s offers a variety of scholarships for international undergraduate students. This includes the King’s Scholars scheme which is a merit based scheme for for students who have already enrolled, rewarding academic excellence. Postgraduate
King’s Graduate School offers a range of funding opportunities for postgraduate students applying from Norway. These include the King’s International Graduate Scholarships, King’s Overseas Research Students Awards, School of Law LLM Scholarships and many more. There are a number of external scholarship providers that will also offer scholarships for Polish students, such as the Medical Research Council, the Arts & Humanities Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Economic and Social Research Council and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
