Resident Assistant Positions - 2013/14

Are you a people person?  Do you have an interest in helping to create a safe and supportive living environment?  Can you be an effective role model for new students in residence?  If the answer to these questions is 'yes', then the Role of Resident Assistant may be for you!

Applications are now being invited from full-time King's students for Resident Assistant positions during the 2013/14 academic year.  For further details about the vacancies, and to download an application pack, please visit the 'Internal Vacancies' page.

Applications for 2013-14 academic year

Applications for accommodation for the 2013-14 academic session are now being accepted.  You may apply online via the My Accommodation Online Application Facility.  Read 'My Accommodation - Entry 2013' for details of the residences, application procedure and policies.  Any changes or updates to our portfolio will be advertised online.

Housing Surveys - prizes to be won!

UPDATE - Stamford Street Apartments

The refurbishment works planned for Stamford Street Apartments (mentioned on page 9 of 'My Accommodation ~ Entry 2013' (pdf 1.82 Mb)) will not be taking place between September 2013 - June 2014.  It is anticipated that refurbishment works will commence from September 2014 and there may be some adjustment to the availability of facilities from this point onwards.  Further information will be available on the website as soon as details are confirmed.

Summer Extended Accommodation

Eligible students may now apply online for places in King's residences and Moonraker Point during Summer 2013.  Please visit the 'Summer Accommodation' page for details.

Residence Life (pdf, 1.66mb) is our newsletter that is issued every semester with all the latest news information and advice for all current students living in our residences.

Mid-session 2012-13

Mid-session applications for places in College or Nominated accommodation will be considered from 03 October 2012 onwards.  You may apply online via the 2012-13 My Accommodation Online Application Facility.  Full details on the application procedure and eligibility criteria can be found here.

Accommodation Services will not consider any previously submitted New Undergraduate, New Postgraduate or Returning Student application from 03 October.  Students wishing to be considered for places in King's or Nominated residences after 03 October should submit a mid-session application.

Please note that you cannot apply for mid-session places at any of the Intercollegiate Halls through King's Accommodation Services.  For information on applying for places at the Intercollegiate Halls, please contact the Intercollegiate Halls Reservations Office.

Swapping Accommodation with another King's student

Please note that it is not permitted for applicants to swap offers of accommodation. It is however, permissible to swap rooms after arrival at the Residence (following 7 nights – see Swap Form for procedure). Refer to the procedure in My residence (Regulation 4.4 on page 26 and Appendix Two on page 37). Accommodation Services are not able to arrange direct swaps on a resident’s behalf.

Room swaps will be permitted between a King's residence and Moonraker Point from 7 nights after the start of the contract. This is subject to the agreement of the Residence Managers in the respective buildings and payment of the appropriate administration charge(s).

Room swaps are not permitted at/with an Intercollegiate place until mid-October.
